Charity information

Artsline has been established for 25 years, founded in 1981 with the objective of facilitating access to arts and entertainment venues in the Greater London region for all disabled people and their families. As pioneers in the field of disabled access we have built a database of detailed disability access information of over 1,400 venues. In April 2007 we relaunched our redesigned website database and it has proved to be a great success with our users and the tourism industry. The new website has been short listed for the Visit London Awards 2007 in November this year. The average number of hits we receive has risen from 8,000 to 50,000 per month.

Despite this success we are struggling to cover the organisation’s core costs with the impact of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and the loss of available funding to the Voluntary Sector. We are seeking £100,000 this year to cover the salaries of our Chief Executive and administration staff along with the usual office overheads.
