Charity information

Livability is the UK's largest Christian disability charity, and works to bring life to local communities. We support disabled people overseas through Livability International.

Founded 2008

  • Mission statement

Despite many positive changes in society, life for disabled people in the UK and overseas can still be very challenging - nearly one in six people in the UK (10 million) have a disability, 40% of disabled people are trapped in unsuitable housing with little or no choice over where they live and disabled people are more than twice as likely as non-disabled people to leave school with no formal academic or vocational qualifications. We are determined to ensure that all disabled people have the freedom to live their lives and the chance to use their abilities.

  • Aims

    Livability aims to:

    • We believe in the equality and unique value of every individual, and we aim to create opportunities for people to fulfil their potential and live life to the full.
