Pennine Camphill Community

Pennine provides a dynamic learning experience for young people who have learning disabilities but it doesn't stop there. Offering opportunities for many others through hands on learning.

  • Mission statement

    Pennine supports a specialist college offering further education, training and support for young people who have learning disabilities. We celebrate the unfolding of each persons potential in a setting which encourages learning together; care and respect for the environment.

    We aim to:
    Recognise, nurture and value uniqueness of all people
    Create, develop and sustain an holistic learning environment
    Develop and sustain a Camphill therapeutic community
    Care and promote care for nature and the environment
    Encourage self-development and learning opportunities with a prime focus on learners engaged in our core activities but also including all others engaged in any of the activities undertaken or associated with Pennine
    Create, support, develop and learn from activities in sympathy with the community’s mission
    Encourage participation of people from varied cultures, nationalities, and abilities without prejudice, to experience and help further these aims.
