The Diamond Centre for Disabled Riders

The Diamond Centre for Disabled Riders is a registered charity providing unique facilities to benefit disabled children and adults by having regular contact with horses. It is now widely recognised that riding helps disabled people both physically and mentally - and the remarkable improvements achieved by so many attending the The Diamond Centre is proof of this.
Riders are aged between 5 and 65 years old and each week with the assistance of our instructors and helpers, they can enjoy the the experience of riding, driving or vaulting. An experience which provides the chance to be independent, a sense of achievement and - just as important, gives pleasure and satisfaction. Our riders have a range of disabilities including spina bifida, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, downs syndrome, autism and learning difficulties. We also help victims of brain trauma injuries who often show remarkable improvements through riding.
