Barnet Community Transport

We support people who are disadvantaged either mentally. Physically, or financially by overcoming the transport barriers that prevent them accessing leisure and health activities.

  • Mission statement

    “The objects of the Company are:
    a) To provide a community transport service for such of the inhabitants of Barnet and the surrounding area who are in need of such a service because of age, sickness or disability (mental or physical), or poverty or because of a lack of availability of adequate and safe public passenger services; and,
    b) To act as a resource for young people up to the age of 30 living in Barnet and the surrounding area by providing advice and assistance and organising programmes of physical, educational and other activities as a means of:
    1. Advancing in life and helping young people by developing their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as independent, mature and responsible individuals;
    2. Advancing education;
    3. Relieving unemployment; and
    4. Providing recreational and leisure-time activity in the interest of social welfare for people living in the area of benefit who have need by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disability, poverty or social and economic circumstances with a view to improving their conditions of life of such persons. ”
