One To One Project

The One to One Project provides free long term support services to adults (18-65 years) who are disadvantaged by complex mental health problems, living in West Norfolk.

Founded 1983

  • Mission statement

The One to One Project aims to provide free long term Counselling, Mentoring and Self Confidence Group Work to adults aged 18 to 65 experiencing mental ill health, social and/or emotional issues that affect their everyday living. These services are available to the parents and carers of children/adults suffering mental health problems, addressing the strain this can place on families, known to contribute to family breakdown or separation.

This King's Lynn based project also offers outreach venues around West- Norfolk, accommodating the many rural and isolated clients who would otherwise be unable to access support due to social, financial or geographical barriers.

All services are provided by a dedicated team of highly trained volunteer counsellors, mentors and group facilitators who work within the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy Code of Ethics.

The Project aspires to remove the stigma of mental health by working with the human need, increasing individual well being and thus contributing to a healthier more cohesive community with positive associated improvements in family life, education, employment prospects and mental health. It provides a supportive, safe and confidential environment, that respects the dignity and autonomy of all service users and is kindly supported by Stephen Fry.
