SIFA Fireside works with people who are homeless or vulnerably housed, many of them with alcohol misuse and mental health problems. We aim to support and empower people to lead more stable live
SIFA Fireside works alongside those who are socially excluded or disadvantaged, addressing alcohol issues and homelessness and empowering and supporting people to meet their short and long term goals. This year, SIFA Fireside is proud to be celebrating its 30-year anniversary of providing services to those in need.
SIFA Fireside works with problem drinkers and those who are homeless or otherwise marginalised. Our clients include offenders and ex-offenders, people with mental health problems and people with drug misuse problems. SIFA Fireside runs a daily 'drop in' in Birmingham City Centre where food and showers are provided and clients can access accommodation advice and tenancy support, as well as specialist alcohol reduction advice. As part of the Birmingham Outreach Alcohol Team, we now offer an outreach service area. We also provide dental and optical drop in sessions, mental health support and counselling. We also offer a service user volunteer programme, an employment and training programme and a variety of activity groups, e. G. Art, and cooking classes. Through trust and ongling support we are able to help people to make positive choices and move towards a more stable lifestyle.
SIFA Fireside aims to:
