The Craft Centre and Design Gallery

The Craft Centre and Design Gallery was set up in 1982 to showcase and promote the work of contemporary british based designer makers and foster an appreciation and understanding of this work in the public. Through a continually changing annual programme of events the craft centre aims to bring art to everyone through a series of themed or solo showcases and exhibitions. Highlighting and supporting the work of literally thousands of designer makers throughout Britain in the areas of jewellery making, ceramics, applied arts and hand printed limited edition prints, the Craft Centre aims to bring the very best of this work to the attention of its audience. With little financial support the craft centre continually struggles to survive through an income that relies upon the commission made from the sales of these items. Despite currently celebrating 25 years in showcasing and promoting such work and all the artsists involved, financial support towards exhibitions, marketing and technical support would always be appreciated to ensure that the Craft Centre reaches another 25 years.
