Vincent Dance Theatre

Vincent Dance Theatre have been moving people and making them think since 1994. ‘One of the most important feminist artists working in Britain today’ (The Observer), Vincent is known for creating brave, humorous and ‘astonishingly original’ (New York Times) performance work.

VDT’s latest programme of activity includes workshops with a range of community groups, interviewing young people and gathering testimonies to feed the creation of live, online and film-based projects.

    Vincent Dance Theatre's mission is to produce and tour high quality, new, accessible dance theatre work in a variety of media. Under the artistic direction of Charlotte Vincent, the work has an international outlook and challenges conventional values in dance. Vincent Dance Theatre is committed to delivering high quality professional development work, engaging a diversity of people in a varied and creative programme of participation and education activity.

    The main areas of activity are to:
    - produce and tour new work in the UK and internationally
    - engage in research and development and cross-artform work with collaborators who share the Artistic Director's artistic vision
    - supporte the development of emerging dance artists in the UK and internationally
    - develop audiences and encourage participation in dance through the delivery of classes, workshops and residencies within a diverse range of education and community settings
