  • Mission statement

“To work with local communities throughout the world to create opportunities for the world’s most vulnerable children to live safe, healthy and happy lives.

To develop cost-effective on the ground solutions delivered in a practical way, sensitive to local cultures and with minimal administrative costs.

We believe that all children deserve a happy, safe and healthy childhood.

To develop partnerships that advocate for sustainable healthcare systems for children and their families.

To provide a holistic approach to the delivery of antiretroviral therapy to children living with AIDS.

To support communities caring for orphans through the delivery of free medical care.

To provide education on nutrition, hygiene, malaria and HIV/AIDS to the communities most at risk.

  • Aims

World Medical Fund for Children aims to:

    • To demonstrate a model for the cost-effective, efficient delivery of primary health care in resource-poor environments that can be replicated wherever the same challenges exist.
    • To improve the quality of life for children in the world's poorest nations through the provision of free medical care and public health education.
    • To reduce the unacceptably high mortality and morbidity rates in the remote villages of Africa where children still die from diseases that can be easily treated if only they could access the medicines
