The Ackers

The Ackers was established in march 1981 and was set up to cater for Birmingham inner city and for all those who wish to participate in outdoor activity.
The Ackers is a non profit charity offering adventurous activities, including skiing, climbing, canoeing and archery whilst teaching with excellent standards of instruction.
The Ackers works closely with its subsidised groups including, children, local schools, youth groups, those with special needs and senior citizens.

The Ackers offers opportunities in volunteering in its conservation and environmental projects.
Its 80 acre site, just 2 miles outside of Birmingham city centre is a safe haven of parkland packed with wildlife and plantlife, perfect for enjoyment, recreation and education.

The Ackers is truly a place where those using it can benifit from fantastic sporting opportunities or just enjoy the peace and tranquility of the countryside
