Lubavitch Youth

Lubavitch Youth, established in the UK in 1959, exists to offer high quality opportunities to young people (age 5-25) of the Jewish ethnic minority which
1. Motivate and equip them to develop their individual potential.
2. Motivate and equip them to become caring and responsible spouses and parents
3. Motivate and equip them to make a positive contribution to their own community and to the wider society.
All work is based on young people achieving the 5 outcomes of the Every Child Matters agenda, Being Healthy, Staying Safe, Enjoying and Achieving, Making a Positive Contribution and Achieving Economic Wellbeing.

Young people of the Jewish ethnic minority are disadvantaged in that for cultural reasons, they do not access main stream youth provision such as youth clubs, leisure centres etc and look to Lubavitch Youth to provide for them.

We currently impact more than 15,000 young people per annum, at 25 UK centres, providing a wide range of activities such as club nights, accredited skills in life-saving, first aid and youth leadership, day camps, overnight camps, adventure camps, active citizenship programmes, personal and social development, residentials, among others.

Membership is open irrespective of colour, nationality, personal life-style, religious commitment or otherwise.

In 2001 the Principal of Lubavitch Youth received the OBE from Her Majesty the Queen for services to young people. We are recognised by the former DfES as a National Voluntary Youth Organization.
