The Environmental Justice Foundation (EJF), is a UK charity working internationally to ‘protect people and planet’ with the belief that environmental security is a human right.

  • Mission statement

    EJF makes a direct link between the need for environmental security and the defence of basic human rights.

    EJF empowers those people who suffer most from environmental abuses to find peaceful ways of preventing them. Our organisation is all about helping people to help themselves. Working with grassroots organisations in some of the world’s poorest countries, EJF cuts through political and and commercial agendas to reach those people who so often lack a voice for their concerns.

    Environmental Justice Foundation aims to:

    • Protect human rights in the face of climate change. - secure international agreement for the protection of 'climate refugees' - give a voice to communitieis most vulnerable
    • Save The Sea. Protect oceans, wildlife and people by ending illegal fishing. - eliminate illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing practices - support grassroots partners in W Africa
    • End environmental and human rights abuses in global cotton production and support organic cotton. - expose and end forced child labour & environmental abuses in the Uzbek cotton industry
