HOST promotes international friendship and understanding by welcoming international students as guests in British homes.
The mission of HOST is to promote international understanding and friendship. HOST works with international students studying at UK institutions to give them a day or a weekend visit as a guest in a British home. All of our hosts are volunteers who host because they enjoy meeting people from other cultures and countries.
More than 100 Universities and Colleges nationwide subscribe to the HOST Programme and encourage their students to go on a HOST visit because of the value that it adds to their international students' experience of studying in Britain. Thousands of international students apply each year for a visit, sometimes several times over, and feedback tells us how much they enjoyed their visits.
HOST UK aims to:
- To promote international understanding and friendship.
- To bring together British hosts and international students we help to build bridges in our society and contribute to community cohesion.
