Mji wa Neema Orphanage

Mji wa Neema raises funds to support orphaned children in the Gilgil area of Kenya. The two main projects are the Saidia Children's Home and the Bondeni Nursery supporting over 120 children.

  • Mission statement

    To bring Hope and a future to orphaned and deprived children in the Gilgil area of Kenya through:
    • The Saidia Children's Home by providing a real home to 56 orphaned children in a safe and caring environment. Providing them all with a good education and skill training appropriate to their abilities
    • The Bondeni Nursery Project (in the Red Light district) by providing a safe and stimulating place for 76 seriously deprived children and to provide a nourishing meal every day (for over half it is the only meal). Many of the mothers and older sisters work as prostitutes in this very poor area.

    Mji wa Neema Orphanage aims to:

    • To relieve the financial and other charitable needs of those at the Saidia Children’s Home in Gilgil, Kenya by such means as the Executive Committee determine from time to time.
    • To relieve those disabled, orphaned or abused children and their carers, or extended families where appropriate, in Gilgil and the surrounding areas of Kenya in such a way as the Committee see fit
