The Phoenix Cambridge Foundation

A primary school run by parents for children aged 3 to 11 years specialising in providing an outstanding education within a loving family environment.

Founded 2010

  • Mission statement

The Phoenix Foundation Cambridge's mission is to provide an alternative choice to parents of primary school aged children, who have either been failed by the State system or other independent schools. We offer bursaries to families on low incomes and counselling and support to our families in times of need. Our fees are used to cover our running costs and to ensure we maintain an excellent calibre of teachers, so we are wholly reliant on donations to further our charitable aims to benefit more children within the community. Our parents and teachers work in partnership with the school and we encourage a diverse and multi-cultural environment within the school, working with local industry and other charitable causes to the greater benefit of all concerned. We wish to provide generations to come with a wonderful start in their educational life, teach them manners and respect for everyone around them and inspire them to go onto follow their dreams, whatever they may be. We are the first school of our kind (we are parent run but are not a free school) and our ultimate hope is to be able to share our different and successful approach to education with schools in the state sector so that the wider community and educational system can benefit.
