Founded 1987

  • Mission statement

The organisation is working to empower and promote the confidence of the hard to reach and socially excluded, particularly people from the East African communities living with and /or affected by chronic illnesses and disabilities. We advocate for their independence through training, advancement of education, emotional and practical support, advice and research into their conditions to inform service provision and our planned interventions. We acknowledge that we are part of an ecosystem of organisations and individuals that, potentially, are all excellent resources for joint effort. We are therefore committed to transforming Foundation for Renewal and Fora, as deemed fit so that in whatever we plan to do the organisation is simple and maximises economies of scale by working with others to increase synergy. We are seeking to more effectively engage in discussions with all stakeholders building relationships and networks by being creative and receptive to generosity to participate jointly. We are not guarding our programs, services, branding and messages as long as we receive in return the good will and compassion of many people working hard for the common goal of truly lifting people out of their plight. We are keen on positive engagement of all through volunteering so that burning social issues and inequalities among society are highlighted and continue providing services and advocate for ways to address the root causes of poverty and health inequalities.
