ACETS aims and objectives are to provide a variety of training, advice, mentoring and intervention to disadvantaged people in particularly; African, African-Caribbean, and other disadvantaged people; in particularly those with disabilities, such as, deafness, and or hearing impairment, and other disadvantaged people, making them aware of opportunities for education and training, employment, voluntary services, business development, social development, and assisting and encouraging them to take advantage of such opportunities.

  • Mission statement

    To advance education and training and provision of practical support, advice and information to disadvantaged people faced with problems, including business mentoring to support young entrepreneurs thropugh a series of workshops and individual tailored training.

    To offer disadvantage people and others the chance to help other people to becomes involved in community activities through active participation, discussion and by engaging disabled and elderly people to participate in community activities for the benefit of all.

    To assist in advancing education and training of African, African-Caribbean, Deaf, Hearing Impaired and other Disadvantaged people, by raising awareness of opportunities for education, training, social development, voluntary services, employment, health education, family life.

    To assist in influencing policy decision and policy-making in statutory and non-statutory Agencies and organisations by increasing services offered to the young, elderly, and people with disabilities, etc.

    To provide practical support, advice and information to members of the target group who are faced with problems.

    To offer disadvantaged people the chance to help others become involved in community activities, through active participation, consultation, discussions and by having disabled people participating in training courses etc.

    Provision of a free ICT Information Communication Technology to members of the community who are lacking ICT skills.

    Afro Caribbean Education And Training Services aims to:

    • To advance education and training and provision of practical support, advice and information to African, African-Caribbean and other disadvantaged people faced with problems, including business mentoring to support young entrepreneurs.
    • To organise and co-ordinate a range of educational and other activities, which foster and facilitate the development of members of the African, African-Caribbean and other disadvantaged community, via placements within statutory and non-statutory organisations.
    • To offer disadvantage people and others the chance to help other people to becomes involved in community activities through active participation, discussion and by engaging disabled and elderly people to participate in community activities for the benefit of all.
    • To assist in influencing policy decision and policy-making in statutory and non-statutory Agencies and organisations by increasing services offered to the young, elderly, and people with disabilities, etc.
    • Provision of business start up training to young people and others on business advice in general, specifically on aspects of business growth and strategic planning. Advise individuals in business on Business Planning, Financial Planning, Marketing Planning and Legal requirements. Provision of business support and training services aimed specifically at aspiring entrepreneurs. Increase awareness of the business support that is available locally and nationally.
