Penhaligon's Friends offers pre and post bereavement support for children, young people and their families.
Penhaligon's Friends is a childhood bereavement charity based in Cornwall and offers bereavement support to children, young people and their families and carers who are often rurally isolated and socially marginalised by their bereavement. Our mission is to provide a service to address the issues of grieving children through a supportive and educational environment.
We do this through memory days, 1-1 grief support, school groups and assemblies, youth groups, family visits, telephone advice, professional training and social events.
Penhaligons Friends aims to:
- Increase children's self esteem
- Increase the skills and abilities of our volunteers
- Reduce the social isolation for children and young people
- Improve the health and wellbeing of children and young people
