A specialist music school founded in 1963 by violinist Yehudi Menuhin to nurture exceptional musical talent with a world class education: realising students' potential, shaping international culture.

    The School aims to develop the musical potential of gifted young people regardless of race, creed or financial background, both for their own fulfillment and for the benefit and enrichment of others, within an academic environment which supports and develops their social, emotional, aesthetic and physical needs.

    Yehudi Menuhin School aims to:

    • for pupils to leave the School as dedicated and excellent musicians who will use their music to inspire and enrich the lives of others.
    • ensure pupils are supported to become friendly, thinking individuals well equipped to contribute fully to the international community.
    • operate within a framework that sees all subjects as contributing to the pupils' whole education, including their musical education.
