Lifeworks offers respite and residential care, education and training, life-skills and recreational opportunities for learning disabled children and young people across Devon & the South West.

  • Mission statement

    Lifeworks mission is to support learning disabled young people to become more independent, gain accredited qualifications, to provide access to training and work placements, and also ensure that suitable, local, interesting social and recreational opportunities are made available to encourage the endeavours of learning disabled young people to reach their full potential and go on to lead happy and fulfilling lives.
    All Lifeworks projects are different but our beliefs and ethos extend to all that we do. As parents, teachers, carers our desires for the futures of the young people with learning disabilities is no less than that of any other child, and we are determined in our endeavours to ensure that disability will not exclude our young people from enjoying the same opportunities that most others take for granted.

    • Our aim is to ensure that the circle of disadvantage created by a lack of opportunities and discrimination resulting in them unable to fulfil their aspirations becomes a thing of the past.
