The Rowner Community Trust (RCT) has been established to support the economic, social and environmental improvement and community development in the Rowner area.

  • Mission statement

    Rowner Community Trust exists to promote and fund community-based projects and activities in the Grange Ward area of the Borough of Gosport to improve quality of life for its residents.
    Its activities will contribute to "Creating a Community Where People Want to Live".
    The RCT will support local residents by working with them to identify and meet the needs of their community.
    The Trust already owns the Nimrod Centre, a purpose built community centre which is home to well established community groups and activities, led by active local citizens. The RCT will work with these existing groups to support and build upon their work, as well as developing a range of new activities to meet local identified needs.

  • Aims

    Rowner Community Trust aims to:

    • Assist individuals and families living on lower incomes by signposting to agencies giving housing information and advice
    • Enable access to education or training opportunities to improve self or employable skills and qualifications
    • Protect, preserve and improve the physical and natural environment
    • Promote tolerance through acknowledgement of the diversity of communities within communities
    • Provide facilities, resources or space for arranged projects and activities
