Founded in 1989, the MDSG is the only charity within the UK devoted specifically to helping those affected by Myotonic Dystrophy which is the most common form of Muscular Dystrophy in adults.

    The MDSG offers the hand of friendship and support to those affected by Myotonic Dystrophy through a 24 hour National Helpline, Newsletter and Publications, Website, Fundraising and Research, the running of the Support Group Office in Nottingham and organising an annual National Conference.

    • To offer assistance, support and information to those people affected by Myotonic Dystrophy, their carers and families, both directly and indirectly, and anything done in reasonable pursuance thereto.
