Liverpool Organists Association

The charity promotes the organ and organ music to students, young people, and the wider public, by arranging visits, educational events, and providing tuition to those who are learning the instrument.

Founded 1910

  • Mission statement

    1) To educate the public in matters relating to the history, construction, and music of the organ, and to introduce new audiences to concerts and recitals.
    2) To promote and encourage the composition and performance of new music as well as traditional repertoire.
    3) To provide tuition for new students and young people wishing to learn to play the organ.
    4) To award bursaries to help with the cost of tuition and assist with the access to instruments that students will require to gain experience of different organs.

  • Aims

    Liverpool Organists Association aims to:

    • To provide oppotunities for members and the public to visit instruments and hear concerts and recitals, and educational events and open days.
    • To provide bursaries and opportunities for students and young people to learn to play the organ
    • To enable young people and the wider public to experience and learn about the organ and organ music, especially those who have not previously had access to one.
