  • Mission statement

STORM a community based organisation is committed to providing support to all its members of the community by helping them to reach their full potential. STORM recognises the barriers people face. Most of the people in and around our community are hidden from mainstream society and don’t know how to escape the destitution, both mental and physical, that many of them find themselves in. Many of these victims feel isolated, alone and are unable to fully engage with civic society, therefore missing out on essential services and support they often struggle and despair in silence.
Storm offers Free services available for everyone to gain qualifications/empowerment/support and motivation to enable others to live proactive lives. Along with the Literacy and Numeracy Qualifications, students can also gain in work experience and build community relationships through our onsite crèche/fun days/parent and children workshops and day trips out we provide, which improves the community and social inclusion. We provide empowerment/pastoral care and an onsite low intensity counselling surgery.
We also run a weekly Job Shop supporting those seeking employment and help young people through our youth club and annual Peace Concert, creating a safe place for the young people to be and getting them Off the Streets. Our annual Peace Concert promotes awareness of our antil guns/gangs and knives message and gives young people positive alternatives and opportunities to turning their lives around.
