Homecall Home Visiting Scheme For The Visually Impaired

Homecall is a free Home visiting scheme for the visually impaired in Bexhill supporting independence, health and welfare.

Founded 1985

  • Mission statement

Through our network of volunteers we offer regular visits to visually impaired clients on a regular basis to help with a variety of tasks made difficult by sight loss. One of the most valued aspects of having a volunteer visitor is the opportunity for friendship and support on a regular basis. This helps increase independence and relieves isolation for the visually impaired.
Most clients who avail themselves of our service are registered blind or partially sighted, although registration is not always necessary to qualify for our help. This is a free service for the visually impaired.

  • Aims

Homecall Home Visiting Scheme For The Visually Impaired aims to:

    • To help the substantially visually impaired maintain their independence and reliever their social isolation by enabling access to the community.
    • To assist our visually impaired clients with a variety of tasks made difficult by sight loss.
