TamilAid was formed in 2005 just after the Tsunami to provide aid and help to restore orphanages, schools and hospitals in North and East of Sri Lanka where people also suffered from civil war.

    Our mission statement is “The relief of poverty, sickness and distress of people residing in the North and East of Sri Lanka, by providing any charitable means Trustees determine.

    We aim to apply 100% of our Charitable donations we receive to charity projects.
    The Trsutees, voulnteers and aid workers who work with TamilAid offer their time and talent free of charge. Thereby, erosion of funds by way of administration cost is aimed to be kept at 0%.

    Any incidental administration costs such as bank charges, website costs, and payments to fundraising costs for example Just Giving, etc are paid for by donations from Trustees

    Building Blocks UK aims to:

    • To help restore, repair and rebuild, Orphanages, Schools, Hospitals, Temples, and Churches damaged by the Tsunami and/or civil war.
    • The relief of poverty, sickness and distress of people residing in the North and East of Sri Lanka, by providing any charitable means which the Trustees’ determine.
