We provide a Christian counselling service for all communities in Coventry and surrounding areas, and provide counsellor training, supervision and work experience

  • Mission statement

    The key objectives of the Light House are to:

    (1) Restore psychological, emotional, spiritual and physical health
    (2) The alleviation of individual suffering and distress
    (3) To improve the quality of human relationships

    to clients in need of help, by the provision of a general counselling service from a Christian perspective, available to all communities within the city of Coventry and surrounding areas, to those of all Faiths or none.

    We also aim to encourage the supply of Counsellors available for this work through partnerships with local colleges, supplying training, supervision and work experience.

    In addition, we will support the maintenance of recognised codes of practice in counselling through provision of formal supervision sessions both for our own counsellors and those of other agencies, or those undergoing training, Counselling and supervision will be conducted in accordance with the Code of Practice and Codes of Ethics of the Association of Christian Counsellors and other nationally recognised counselling bodies.

    • To restore psychological, emotional, spiritual, mental health, alleviating individual suffering and distress, or improving the quality of human relationships, by provision of Christian Counselling
    • To assist in the maintenance of quality and adherence to established counselling codes of practice by provision of supervision, both for our own counsellors and those of other local agencies.
    • To encourage the supply of new Counsellors by assisting in their education through training, supervision and work experience in partnership with local education providers.
