The Friends Of Deepalaya

The Friends of Deepalaya aim to support the work of Deepalaya, an Indian charity which started in 1979 to help children and families see beyond the slums. From the early days of 5 children undertaking preschool education, more than 50,000 children have now been helped. Deepalaya believe the development of preventive and promotive health care is crucial for well-being and offer community health projects among the rural masses to those unable to afford regular health care.
