Hop, Skip and Jump centres offer children with Life Limiting or Threatening Illnesses or any Special Needs, Flexible, Immediate and Sustained Day Care, with Support for their families.
Hop Skip and Jump offers a safe inside and outside play area for children and young adults, from birth to 25 years, with life limiting or threatening illnesses or any special needs to engage in ‘Free’ Adventure Play where every child is supported and can choose exactly what they want to do, and receive a break from their often heavily regimented days. The centres are open six days a week and offer Breakfast Clubs, After School Clubs, Holiday Day Care, Teens and 20’s Youth Clubs along with opportunities for groups to use the centre such as Mums and Babies and parents and children with Cerebral Palsy or Autism.
Fully qualified playworkers and nurses deliver appropriate support to every child or young adult.
Each centre has large play area with toys, games, books and a multilevel soft play (some wheelchair accessible) area with a ball pool, art and crafts area and fully equipped teaching kitchen. Outside, the centres have large play areas with slides, climbing frames, tree houses, bike tracks, football pitches, basketball area and sensory gardens.
We focus on play therapy giving children and young adults the opportunity to build up their confidence, improved fitness social skills and self-esteem and interract with their peers.
We have proved over the last 30 years that our cost effective, flexible and immediate day care has prevented parents and carers from reaching breaking point, families have stayed together and children have been kept from going into care.
