We provide emotional and practical support to those facing unplanned pregnancy or pregnancy loss (miscarriage, abortion, adoption, and still birth) and sex and relationships education to teenagers

  • Mission statement

    CrossWay Pregnancy Crisis Centre exists in order to provide
    •Information to women and men of any age who are facing an unplanned pregnancy, in order to enable them to make necessary choices.
    •Time in an unpressured environment for clients to work through their situation in confidence with a trained listener.
    •Post abortion support on a one-to-one basis or in a support group.
    •Practical and emotional support to women and men who choose to continue with an unplanned pregnancy, whether they plan to parent the child or to seek to have the child adopted.
    The above services are offered free of charge so that they are accessible to all.
    •‘Yourchoice’ sex and relationships education service to enable young people to become better informed and empowered to make responsible decisions about sex and relationships. This includes letting young people know they are valuable, how to make good choices, what is a “good” relationship and what is abuse, pressure from peers and the media, ways to help them stand up for themselves and “It’s OK to say ‘No’”

    Crossway Pregnancy Crisis Centre aims to:

    • To increase awareness of our services and broaden these in response to observed need
    • To enable women and men facing a crisis pregnancy, to make the best possible choices for them by giving them the necessary time, space and information
    • To provide practical and emotional support to those continuing with a pregnancy in difficult circumstances
    • To facilitate resolution for women and men troubled by past abortion and other pregnancy loss (miscarriage, stillbirth, adoption).
    • To empower local teenagers to make healthy choices with regard to sex and relationships and reduce sexually transmitted infection and unwanted teenage pregnancy and the spiral of poverty it can cause.
