The Kaimes Special School Association supports the pupils of Kaimes Special School in Edinburgh , primarily in the areas of Outdoor Education, Residential Experiences, ICT, and Cultural Enrichment.

  • Mission statement

    The KSSA supports those programmes at Kaimes whose aims are to increase self confidence and self reliance, to enhance self esteem, and to prepare the pupils for independent living on leaving school. Also:
    • The advancement of their education as well as the advancement of the arts, heritage, culture and science.
    • The provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for these young people for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended.
    • The relief of those in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage
