We are an outwardly focused church meeting in the North West of Glasgow that is actively involved in the local community. We work with the poor, the needy, the old, the young and those who are sick
As well as seeking to grow as a community of faith within the North and West of Glasgow, we run a number of projects that aim to benefit the local community.
Our Compassion Projects work with those in need of food and support, helping to break the cycles of food poverty and isolation. Storehouse is a food bank working with those in poverty in need of food including asylum seekers, refugees and we get regular referrals from Social Work Departments and the DWP. One of the significant areas where Storehouse works is in helping people cope with welfare reform changes and the impact that these changes have made to the support available and demands placed upon people to receive that support. We also provide volunteering opportunities for our service users and other members of the local community.
Our Youth Project is partnering with local schools to encourage young people to follow healthy role models and to develop strong and healthy personal identities.
Glasgow Vineyard aims to:
- To make a positive impact on the local community by working closely students, children, young people, families and those in poverty; where we work closely with other agencies and the council.
- Our Compassion Projects work with those in need of food and support, helping to break the cycles of food poverty and isolation. We provide a food bank and support service that serves our community.
