  • Mission statement

    Mission
To help all women to access to accurate information about PGP and find treatment to make a full recovery

    Our aims:
    • To pass on information about PGP based on research evidence and on other women’s experience, information which we would have liked to have received ourselves
    • To support women with PGP in making informed choices about their care
    • To reduce the problems women with PGP experience and to speed up their recovery
We achieve these aims by providing written information, an informative website, and telephone and email helplines, and by offering training conferences for professionals.

    About Pelvic Girdle Pain:
Pregnancy-related pelvic girdle pain (PGP) formerly known as Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction (SPD) is a common and, in most cases, treatable condition. It usually gets better by using manual therapy techniques including hands-on physiotherapy, osteopathy or chiropractic. It often does not get better without these treatments.
