Cornwall Search and Rescue Team

A new charity set up in 2003 to cover a gaping hole in Search & Rescue cover in Cornwall.
A secondary response team trained and suitably equipped that is available 24/7 to
respond to all emergencies.

    Respond swiftly to any incident with sufficient team numbers.
    Turn out team members that are suitably trained and equipped.
    Have in place the necessary organisational and support frameworks.

    Our objectives; The principle objectives of CSRT are..........

    To provide a dedicated and fully trained volunteer service to assist and support the emergency services in the operation of search and rescue in Cornwall.
    To provide a back up service to other search and rescue groups throughout the UK if called upon and are able to do so.
    To provide advice and guidance where requested to enable locals and visitors to Cornwall to access and enjoy the natural environment in safety.

  • Aims

    Cornwall Search and Rescue Team aims to:

    • To continue developing the team skills and facilities that enhance our capabilities in all categories of emergency rescue. To add specialist equipment and provide the necessary training for same.
    • To locate a suitable venue in Cornwall to establish a permanent base for storage, office HQ and training facilities. The unit will then help to enhance the teams safety training for the general public
