Wesley Memorial Church Oxford Open Doors Project

Wesley Memorial Church is a Christian community whose members are motivated by their faith to use their resources including time and premises for worship and service to the city centre community

Founded 1878

  • Mission statement

We seek to develop a church community and premises that are more welcoming, hospitable and flexible, to meet the needs of our congregation, users, visitors and staff. We seek to continue to meet the needs of the city centre community by providing refreshments during the week, particularly to elderly people and a drop-in centre for children under five with carers, offering food, play and baby care facilities. We seek to make the premises even more accessible for those with disabilities as we already host the Oxford PHAB club and also provide office space for Oxford Cruse Bereavement Care and Christian Aid. We seek to continue to provide space for meetings to a variety of external organisations providing care and support. We seek to make our premises more environmentally friendly by installing solar panels on our main hall roof.

  • Aims

Wesley Memorial Church Oxford Open Doors Project aims to:

    • To show the welcoming love of God to all those who seek to come in to our premises, including those who visit our halls during the week for refreshment, counselling and/or support
