The Hanover Band Foundation

The Foundation 's objects are to encourage the performance of 18th/19th century music on period instruments, and to deliver concerts that are accessible in content and delivery for the young.

  • Mission statement

    The Foundation's mission is
    1) to support the Hanover Band to deliver concert performances and recordings.
    2) to provide financial support to enable those in education, or without employment to attend concerts
    3) to enable the orchestra (the band) to give workshop's, and to encourage audience participation, by way of offering opportunities audiences to join with the band in the annual concerts at Chichester Cathedral (Good Friday) and The Messiah every Christmas
    4) to ensure the perpetuity of the Hanover Band now resident in Arundel West Sussex, where the orchestra present an annual series of concerts.
    5) to support international touring.

    The Hanover Band Foundation aims to:

    • To promote the study and education of the public in the arts and particularly in the art of music and its history with a special regard to the music of the, eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
