The Open Futures Trust

Open Futures - Charitable Trust supporting Primary Education through delivery of a Skills and Enquiry based curriculum tool, introduced via subsidised training modules aimed at raising attainment.

Founded 2010

  • Mission statement

Our vision is for the curriculum to be a statement of what we want for children and what they might become as adults.
For children to become responsible adults they must discover how to think for themselves, learn how to make effective choices and – above all – be offered the chance to practice these skills.

    Mission Statement
In order to achieve our mission we will:
Proactively work to influence education decision makers in order to raise their awareness of the advantages of encouraging children to think for themselves and to play an active role in their own learning.

  • Aims

The Open Futures Trust aims to:

    • Within 5 years a skills and enquiry curriculum will be accepted as the most effective approach to learning and teaching in Primary Schools.
