Charity information

Jamie Procter's Foundation

Following the death of our son, we set up a charity in his name, with the aims of helping under privileged children and young people, who do not have the same opportunities that he enjoyed.

Founded 2011

  • Mission statement

Our aim is to help deserving young children from inner cities and to give them inspirational experiences outside of their normal environment.
We have linked up with Grenville House, an activites centre in Brixham,Devon. Over the last October Half Term we funded 42 eleven year olds from a number of schools in Hackney for a 5 night stay in the Centre.
They were divided in teams of 6 and participated in a number of challenging activities, including dinghy sailing, abseiling, raft building, caving and high ropes. We were so impressed with the centre and its highly skilled staff that we have booked 3 further weeks in 2012. It costs approximately £200 to send a child to Grenville House and we plan to fund over 120 children a year from now on. The reaction from the childrens' teachers has been so positive that we believe a number will be diverted from the 'Gang Culture' and a life of crime.

  • Aims

    Jamie Procter's Foundation aims to:

    • To help deserving and under privileged children to escape a life of crime.
