KEEN London

KEEN London gives children and young adults with additional needs the opportunity to enjoy sports and fun with one-to-one support, at no cost to their parents or caregivers. We support over 115 families at three centres across London.

Founded 2002

  • Mission statement

KEEN London believes that no child should miss out on the benefits of regular physical and creative activity. Children with additional needs are often excluded from the extra-curricular fun enjoyed by their peers.

KEEN London gives children and young adults with additional needs the opportunity to enjoy sports and creative activities in a safe and fully supported environment. Our 'athletes' (aged 3 and upwards) benefit from one-to-one coaching at free weekly sessions. Our unique approach pairs each athlete with a volunteer coach, meaning they get maximum benefit from their time at KEEN. Our high ratio of support means each athlete is safe and catered for according to their individual needs. We offer many individual and group activities including sports such as football, basketball, cricket and hockey. On-site activities also include dance, music and arts and crafts. We also run trips to enjoy boating, bowling, ice skating and visits to London landmarks.

We rely heavily on the goodwill of volunteers who run safe and exciting sessions for our athletes. Over 15 years, many hundreds of volunteers have joined the KEEN London family and benefited from spending time with our amazing athletes.
