Stand Against Violence

Lloyd Fouracre was beaten to death on the eve of his 18th birthday. His tragic death led to Stand Against Violence, a charity dedicated to educating young people about the consequences of violence.

Founded 2005

  • Mission statement

Stand Against Violence educates young people about the consequences of violence and how to avoid or diffuse violent situations. Our mission is to reduce mindless violence through education and raising awareness of the potential consequences violence can have on families, friends and communities. Lloyd's story lives on in our short film which recreates the fatal attack. Our film forms the basis of our lessons and workshops and is a hard-hitting, emotional and realistic account of how violence affects everyone.

As well as education, Stand Against Violence gives young people the chance to gain a BTEC qualification through training and working as Peer Educators to deliver our workshops, offering young people a chance to boost their CVs, career prospects and self-confidence.

In Taunton, Somerset we also run a late night youth cafe for young people to enjoy socialising in a space which is warm, safe and dry.

Young people are tomorrow's future. Please help Stand Against Violence educate everyone to THINK BEFORE THEY ACT, THINK TWICE BEFORE THEY REACT.
