Actors Touring Company produces & tours the highest quality international theatre, in the UK and abroad. We find & translate the best scripts & make theatre collaboratively with international artists.

Founded 1980

  • Mission statement

ATC challenges and inspires a wide-range of audiences by touring ambitious contemporary theatre with a strong international focus. Our work is made by bringing together emerging and established artists from many spheres and backgrounds. Working closely with regional, national and international partners, ATC takes excellent theatre everywhere.

ATC pursues success and relevance through:

    1. Touring
Since 1980 we’ve toured throughout England and beyond, introducing cutting-edge theatre to people who might not otherwise have the chance to experience it. We’ll evolve a leaner, greener aesthetic, minimizing our carbon footprint while maximising our contact with audiences.

    2. Internationalism
ATC has maintained a consistently cosmopolitan outlook. Now, by forging an innovative series of national and international collaborations, we’ll leverage the company’s resources both artistically and financially, reducing our financial dependence on ACE while extending our artistic reach.

    3. Participation and Education
We’ve created opportunities for many emerging artists and engagement for new audiences. We will continue to engage with young and hard to reach audiences with work that is about making global theatre with local communities.
ATC is flexible, nimble in its response to new inputs, and steadfast in its quest to create and deliver genuinely innovative theatre practice. With our proven track record, ATC will continue to ensure we reach the broadest possible audiences.
