Mesothelioma UK Charitable Trust exists to raise funds to support the vital services that the Mesothelioma UK Resource Centre gives to anyone affected by the asbestos cancer, Mesothelioma.

  • Mission statement

    Our mission is the advancement of health or saving of lives by raising funds and making grants to promote and protect the health of sufferers of mesothelioma including but not limited to the support of a national resource centre for sufferers of mesothelioma, their carers, health care professionals and associated organisations to the extent not funded by statutory authorities. We provide high quality, impartial and up-to-date support and information. We support the development of a national network of trained and experienced nurse specialists. We promote nurse-led research. We work in collaboration with charities, organisations and individuals to improve relevant issues. We promote the development of mesothelioma support groups. Mesothelioma UK has a national free phone helpline which provides access to timely, accurate and relevant advice for patients, carers and health care professionals. A broad based website is available for UK mesothelioma patients and their carers. The website provides links to other useful sites. Mesothelioma UK runs a yearly 'Patient and Carer Day' where patients and health care professionals can come together to discuss and deal with all aspects of mesothelioma.

    Mesothelioma UK Charitable Trust aims to:

    • To raise awareness about asbestos and mesothelioma and work in collaboration with like minded groups in a bid to safe guard the next generation from asbestos exposure.
    • To fund 6 mesothelioma nurses in the next 3 years throughout the UK, and to support the development of specialist nursing practice and research which promotes the highest possible standards of care.
    • To provide high quality, impartial and up-to-date information to all UK Mesothelioma patients, their carers, healthcare professionals and associated organisations.
    • Provide impartial up-to-date and better quality information for all patients.
    • Improve the patient’s experience throughout their mesothelioma cancer journey by sharing best practice.
