Octagon Films is the largest community cinema in the UK with a paying membership of 520. It provides the people of Market Harborough with weekly film shows and a programme of live broadcasts.

  • Mission statement

    To provide a cinema facility for the people of Market Harborough and surrounding communities that is freely accessible to all.

    The Objectives of Octagon Films are to advance education in the knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the arts, particularly the art of film and allied visual techniques for the benefit of the community in the Market Harborough area.

  • Aims

    Octagon Films aims to:

    • The exhibiting of films and the provision of lectures, conferences, workshops, festivals and similar educational events related to film watching and film making.
    • The provision of digital transmissions of live performances including music concerts, ballet, opera and drama productions.
    • The provision of means for bringing to the attention of the public, the work of creative people in film making in all its forms.
