Founded in 1938, the SMA exists to provide quality live music events for children and teachers, practical CPD for teachers in music and a termly resources magazine.

    Supporting music and the performing arts in schools, the SMA believes that every child has the right to experience music and the arts in a non-competitive environment, delivered by quality practitioners in a fully inclusive manner. Singing, playing and composing are the pillars of a sound musical education. SMA seeks to empower all teachers through it's programme of training courses and events for young people.
