Trust PA is a registered UK Charity - in memory of Paul-André Blundell, (P-A). Working to help fund repair treatments to improve the lives of spinal cord injured & paralysed men, women & children.
Trust PA is a registered UK charity set up in memory of Paul-André Blundell, known as P-A. Paul-André was totally paralysed during a rugby tackle and unexpectedly later died. The knowledge of ground breaking progress towards a recovery inspired him to want to be involved in the clinical repair trials. As a result Trust PA is working to help fund the process where safe new treatments can be made available to repair paralysis from a broken neck or back. This will restore sensation and movement to spinal cord injured men, women and children in the future.
The results from this work, will also help to resolve other health problems including; Nerve Blindness, Nerve Deafness, Stroke, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.
Trust PA aims to:
- Help fund the route to repair of Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) paralysis.
- Influence the UK & Wales NHS to adopt & introduce the Trust PA Student Hospital Buddy Scheme. See website www.trustpa.org
- To influence all rugby authorities to introduce the Trust PA HEADUP Scheme which will stop/minimise SCI in rugby by teaching every player possible to adopt a safe proven tackle technique
