Charity information

Wolfwood is a very small busy rescue which recovers, rehabilitates & releases injured & displaced wildlife, & rehomes stray and unwanted dogs. It is run by qualified staff and is RSPCA approved.

Founded 2007

  • Mission statement

We take in unwanted or abandoned (rescue) dogs and give appropriate care, protection, treatment and security by reason of sickness, maltreatment, poor circumstances or ill usage and to rehome them appropriately after due assessment. Our return rate is 3% and we operate a non destruct policy.
We recover and take in injured or displaced wildlife, provide medical care, rehabilitation and safe release.
We provide sanctuary, medical care and rehabilitation for rescue horses and ponies.
We work alongside other agencies and provide work placements, work experience and accommodate people who need a second chance.
Since Wolfwood was founded in 2007 the work has increased significantly. We currently do not own our own premises, but are working hard fundraising towards acquiring land and buildings. We have the support of the RSPCA in providing a service in an area not covered by them. As a small enthusiastic and dedicated charity, employing one full time and four part time staff members, we are hugely appreciative of the support of dedicated volunteers, the task ahead is daunting.

  • Aims

    Wolfwood aims to:

    • To own our own land and buildings.
