Charity information

Eastrea Village Hall Trust

To fund , construct and operate a community hall in Cambridgeshire for which the village of Eastrea has campaigned - since 1945!

Founded 1945

  • Mission statement

The villagers of Eastrea have striven for a hall and always hit a brick wall. Now, at last, the funding for the building is available and work is proceeding on the site in 2012. There Is no similar facility for many miles, and the area sorely needs this new building: known as The Eastrea Centre.

Funds are urgently needed for residents young and old, to equip the building and provide what this part of Cambridgeshire urgently needs. The villagers raised some £60,000 (this is a tiny village, population only about 750, so it's a remarkable achievement) and funders have now promised support for this million-pound scheme. We are "all systems go" at last - please support us in any way you can!
