Community Housing Aid is a Devon based homeless charity which provides services and support in areas such as youth homelessness, resettlement and accessing the private rented sector.

  • Mission statement

    The Charity’s objects (‘the objects’) are to relieve the poverty sickness and distress among persons within the City of Exeter and surrounding local authority areas who are homeless or threatened with homelessness.

    Community Housing Aid believes that everyone has the right to suitable, sustainable, secure and affordable housing. CHA exists to:

    • Advise and support people who wish to exercise this right
    • Promote means of reducing homelessness and to increase understanding and awareness of the causes and effects of homelessness.

    Community Housing Aid aims to:

    • To expand the delivery of services both within the City of Exeter and into surrounding localities
    • To prevent homelessness by providing quality advice, advocacy, support and assisting people into independent sustainable accommodation
    • To influence local and regional strategic policy and to improve service and service delivery for people in housing need
